UHS Marching Band Takes 2nd Place in Cavalcade of Bands Championship: Achieved Highest Score in UHS History!

The Unionville High School Marching Band secured a second place finish in the Yankee Division at the Cavalcade of Bands Championship this past weekend at the Hershey Area with the outstanding performance of their 2016 show “Tribal Voices”.  The dedicated musicians and color guard also earned the High Music Award in their division.  The band’s score of 97 out of 100 is their season’s best and it is the highest score achieved by any marching band in Unionville High School history!

The UHS Marching Band is comprised of 69 high school students and 13 middle school students. Throughout this season, the band transformed themselves into a precise, professional and synchronized unit. They also learned the rewards of striving as a team toward a shared goal.

“Tribal Voices” is an exciting, colorful and action-packed performance that pays homage to the voices of our tribal heritages as we developed into our own human spirits. The show ultimately is about how the tribal energy, sounds and ideologies of our past provided the “Tribal Voices” shared by us all and created a sense of community in today’s world.
